Hot Hot Heat

Serve up some sizzle with the Cubanita collection.

The Cubanita collection brings all the steamy style from inspiration cities like Miami, Los Angeles, and Havana.

These cities are famous for their teeny polka-dot bikinis, bronzed babes, and fun, summery fashion sense.

Plunge through your urban jungle in style.

Ditch your conventional lap top bag for the Floretta or load up everything you may need for a day at the beach into the roomy Para tote. The bright, on-trend floral fabrication adds a punch of colour and a dose of fun into any gal’s wardrobe.

Style in the City

Whether you are on vacation in Miami Beach, or pounding the pavement in Toronto, the Cubanita collection is a great way to spice up your summer style.

Hot New York City Nights!

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

As the days get longer, and the nights get hotter, take a fashion hint from one of the world's most stylish cities.

Go Graphic in Gothamcity
The graphic arches of the Gothamcity group in grey, white, and black, prove to be the perfect anchors for spring’s electric hues.

Everyday Runway-Chic
The precise architectural lines of the Astoria, Majestic, and Rochester bags add clever contrast to the brilliant blues, fuchsias, and feminine floral prints that are some of this season’s biggest trends.

SUEDE Inspiration
Even though the Gothamcity group fits in perfectly with this season's trends, the collection was inspired by the luxurious history of some of New York’s most beautiful buildings.

The Gothamcity bags are the perfect sidekicks for downtown girls, or uptown ladies who lunch.

Invoking both the grand refinement and the urban chicness of New York’s historic hotels and skyscrapers, the Majestic, the Astoria, and the Rochester are your perfect companions on hot summer nights.

Bring the sophistication and NYC-style edge to wherever you are and to whatever you are wearing this season.

The Art of Fashion Forward Folding

Fashion Forward Folding
For SUEDE, inspiration comes from an eclectic, cosmopolitan array of sources. Each season we are excited by everything from fast sports cars to glittering fashion capitals to art history.

This season, SUEDE looked to the East for inspiration for our Japonica collection. Origami (from ori meaning ‘folding’, and kami meaning ‘paper’) is the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. The goal of this art is to create a given result using geometric folds and crease patterns preferably without the use of gluing or cutting.

The Maki, Sumi, and Origamine, along with the rest of the Japonica group all sport perfect pleating that evokes both a couture sensibility and an architectural direction.

Origami on the Runway
This juxtaposition of delicacy and strength has inspired many designers including Christian Dior, and Jeremy Laing.
